Licor 43`s vanilla and caramel pair indulgently with the nutty Frangelico liqueur before the root beer ties everything together. Mix over ice for a warming treat.

Pour Vodka and licor 43 over 2 - 3 ice cubes in a highball glass. Stir and fill with with root beer. Serve with a straw.

The nurse cocktail is a mix of Absolut Vodka, Licor 43 Liqueur and Root Beer. It has all of the flavors that a nurse would want in one drink. It is perfect for any party or get-together.



The name probably comes from the popular idiom "Nursing a Drink" which means consuming a beverage, specially if alcoholic, slowly and carefully to avoid intoxication or to preserve the drink longer. This cocktail needs a bit of nursing for sure.

It is said to be based on an ancient recipe, and the name comes from the 43 herbs and botanicals used to make it. It is light and sweet with a dominant vanilla flavour, with bright citrus and warm cinnamon flavours following it. In Spain it is mostly known as cuarenta y tres.
