Don`t let Affinity Cocktail`s refined name fool you - this vintage cocktail is surprisingly easy-drinking. Equal parts ruby port, dry sherry and blended Scotch provide a sturdy, spiritous base layered with vinous complexity. A couple dashes of Angostura bitters add depth. Simply stir everything over ice and strain into a chilled glass. No fru-fru garnish required. The Scotch contributes subtle smoke that mingles intriguingly with nutty sherry and fruity port. Sipped slowly, Affinity Cocktail provides a warming, gently sophisticated cap to any evening.
