Cold Fire
cold fire is a popular Rum cocktail containing a combinations of Rumple Minze Peppermint Liqueur,Ice 101 Peppermint Schnapps,Milk .Served using highball glass
True to its fiery name, Cold Fire combines two intense peppermint liqueurs - Rumple Minze and Ice 101. The powerful peppermint oils provide a frosty cooling sensation reminiscent of inhaling vapor rub or minty breath strips. A splash of milk tames the high proof alcohol as well as the mint intensity. Stir gently with ice to incorporate and dilute slightly. Pour into a rocks glass without further chilling - you want to preserve the icy cold menthol effect. Drink slowly to appreciate how the initial extreme mint chill gives way to subtle creamy sweetness. Be sure to use plastic cups, as the peppermint oils can dissolve Styrofoam. Not for the faint of heart, this intense after dinner sipper is perfect for clearing sinuses or showcasing your mixology skills.

  • Rumple Minze Peppermint Liqueur

Creme de Menthe or Peppermint Liqueur is the French for mint cream. It is a sweet mint flavoured alcoholic beverage. Made with Corsican mint leaves, steeped in grain alcohol for several weeks and then filtered and sweetened to create the liqueur.

There are two variations of creme de menthe, white and green, green Creme de Menthe is coloured green by adding mint leaves to the mint extract, otherwise both are similar in taste and flavour.

  • Ice 101 Peppermint Schnapps

Peppermint Schnapps is a clear spirit that tastes like liquid candy cane with astringent, mouth wash like after taste. It is created by adding peppermint flavour to a clear grain spirit and is usually 15% Alcohol by Volume.

In the US it is popular around the holidays, as shots or in creamy sweet cocktails. Peppermint Schnapps is produced by many brands and in different qualities. A regular brand is DeKupyer, while Rumple Minze or Dr. McGillicuddy’s Mint Schnapps are better quality versions of the same.

For those who want a better experience than this mint spirit that has an astringent feel, Creme de Menthe is a smoother alternative.

  • Milk

Milk can do wonders to your regular cocktail. For a rich creamy cocktail, milk does wonder .You may argue that milk as it is made of fat, and being low in acid, will easily curdle if its mixed with alcohol.
Best way to get a rich and creamy cocktail is to use bourbon, milk will soften its whiskey flavour. If you are looking for some spicier yet creamy cocktail go for Scotch with milk cocktails, they'll surely set you holiday mood.
