The Modern Punch combines exotic fruits, tart citrus and spicy ginger beer for a colorful chilled party cocktail. White rum provides an easygoing base lightly infused with juicy blood orange, peach and cranberry. Add zesty lemon and gingery bite with the ginger beer. Build tall over ice and garnish with a lemon twist. Offer the punch in a bowl with a ladle for guests to serve themselves on the deck or patio. The fruits` antioxidant richness helps counterbalance the alcohol. Provide a kid-friendly Virgin option too. Fruity, fizzy and full of flavor, this vibrant punch is modern entertaining made easy.

Modern Punch Recipe


Build up the drink by pouring ingredients into a highball glass over ice. Stir and garnish with half lemon wheel. Modern Punch (Non-alcoholic)- 1 part litchi- 1 part blood orange juice- 1 part white peach- 2 parts white cranberry juice- 1/4 oz lemon juice- 2 parts ginger beerGarnish: half lemon wheelBuild up the drink by pouring ingredients into a highball glass over ice.   • White Rum

    In the making of Rum, the produce of the fermentation and distillation process of molasses is a transparent spirit, which is then aged in vats or barrels and the end result of the ageing is Rum.

    White Rum differs from Dark Rum in this process of ageing, while to produce a Dark Rum, the distillate is aged in a large charred oak barrel, White Rum is aged in big stainless still barrels.

    There are no legal categorisatoin of Rums and it's just a matter of practice that dark rum is used in cooking or is drunk straight or with a Cola , white rums are mostly used in cocktails.

  • Blood Orange Juice

    Orange Juice is an excellent source of Vitamin C, one cup contains twice the daily recommended value. Vitamin C supports the immune system and helps fighting the common cold. The folate in Orange juice supports healthy fetal development. It is low calory and thus is already a qualified alternative to cola fizz in your cocktail if you want to keep your drinks acceptably healthy.

    Orange Juice being citrus and naturally sweet and sour, it literally goes with almost any liquor, and of course Vodka being neutral, the best known pairing is with Vodka. But goes well with Dark Rum too, and you get the Planter's Punch, mix it with Champagne and you have made a mimosa, or with tequila to make a tequila sunrise.

  • White Cranberry Juice

    Cranberry Juice is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, the compounds that fight free radicals and kills harmful bacteria. Cranberry juice is a home remedy for Urinary Tract Infection.
    Pure Cranberry Juice is sour and bitter with very low sugar in it, and thus fortified Cranberry Juice is used for consumption and sugar is added to it for taste. The resulting juice tart and sweet and with a pH of 2.6 it is quite acidic and is an excellent substitute for Red Wine.

  • Lemon Juice

    Lemon Juice being rich in Vitamin C is an excellent remedy for sore throat and aids in digestion and controls blood sugar, and also promoted weight loss. It is used for various culinary and non-culinary purposes all over the world. Lemon juice is known to reduce or even reverse the effects of excessive alcohol consumption and intoxication.
    In drink mixing, fresh lemon juice brings a tangy zing to so many classic drinks and in fact, it's the most used ingredient in drink mixing other than the liquors of course.

  • Ginger Beer

    Ginger Beer like Ginger Ale is a carbonated non-alcoholic beverage that is produced by the natural fermentation of prepared ginger spice, yeast and sugar. Ginger Beer has a stronger flavour and often uses real ginger while Ginger Ale uses ginger syrup.

    Ginger beer started with spice trade with the orient and probably was an Oriental import since ginger fermented beer has been in use as medicine in China and India since 500 BC.

    Ginger Beer is regulated to 2% alcohol if any alcohol is present at all.
