Creator Peter Fich was a fan of the band and so named shooters after his favourite bands. The B-52 is a layered shot with a coffee liqueur such as Kahlua at the bottom Irish cream in the middle and Grand Marnier on the top (Cointreau or triple sec can be used instead).

Variations include a B-51 which uses Frangelico hazelnut liqueur as the top layer; B-53 which substitutes Sambuca for Irish cream; and B-55 or B-52 Gunship which substitutes absinthe for triple sec.

The Mgooo is a foul-tasting boilermaker that`s likely to elicit its namesake sound upon consumption. Dropping a shot of tequila and dark rum into a pint of beer creates a brackish blend of herbal liquor and bitter hops. The carbonation only amplifies the harshness as it fizzes down your gullet. Chug quickly before the contents curdle from sitting. Then rinse your mouth immediately to be rid of the palate-wrecking aftertaste. Consider only if desperately needing to shock your senses back to life after a long night of drinking. Otherwise, approach with extreme caution - the Mgooo is not for amateur drinkers!

Pour the spirits in a shot glass and drop the shot glass in a draft glass filled halfway with beer. Chug-a-lug. (Note the longer it sits, the worse it gets)

  • Dark Rum

    Dark Rums have molasses as their main ingredient, the dark liquor has a full bodied flavour of spices and caramel and is a favourite drink with Cola and is part of so many cocktails.

    The term Dark Rum is not a legal definition but it generally refers to any rum that is dark brown in appearance due to ageing or from additional molasses or caramel.

    The colour of Dark Rum varies from Gold to Black, depending on the years of ageing in the vat.

  • Tequila

    Tequila is a distilled beverage, made only from a specific cultivar of Agave Tequilana called 'Weber Azul' or Blue Agave, native to the states of Jalisco, Colima, Nayarit and Aguascalientes in Mexico. The Blue Agave grows above an altitude of 1500 m and are juicy succulents with spiky fleshy leaves.

    Tequila is made around the city of Tequila 40 miles northwest of Guadaljara, and in the Jaliscan Highlands of Central Western Mexico. Mexican laws state that Tequila can only be produces in the state of Jalisco and a few limited municipalities in the other Blue Agave growing regions.

    Tequila is 35% to 55% Alcohol by Volume (70 and 110 U.S. proof), it must be at least 40% ABV to be sold as Tequila in the USA.

    Tequila is a distilled derivative of the pre-Columbian fermented beverage called pulque, made from the Agave plant. When the Spanish conquistadors ran out of their brandy, they started distilling Agave to produce a distilled spirit. This by 1600s was what Don Pedro Sánchez de Tagle, the Marquis of Altamira, began mass-producing in his distillery near modern day Jalisco and came to be known as Tequila.
