A homemade infusion designed for easily spiking punch bowls with complex flavors. Sweet red wine, maple brown spirits and grain alcohol create a smooth yet potent base for soaking flavorful cherry juice and fruit. Use a funnel when decanting into serving containers to avoid messy drips.

Latavia Recipe


Start with a large pot on the stove.Pour in the Carlo Rossi, Canadian Whiskey and Grain Alcohol, and cup of sugar. Place the heat on low. You just want to warm the mixture enough to desolve the sugar and not cook off the alcohol. Take your decanters and place in the marachine cherries (amount is up to the person making the drink). Pour in the latavia and be sure to use a funnel because it can be a mess otherwise.

  • Everclear Alcohol

    Everclear is an American grain spirit, rather a neat rectified spirit and since it's bottled at as high as 95% purity too, it's nothing but rectified spirit. Everclear is bottled at 60%, 75.5% and 90% ABV and despite it's ban in several US states, it's ridiculously high alcohol content and a hard to put out flame when lit, has made it an iconic spirit of notorious reputation.

    Some often ask if this is clear distilled grain spirit, then why is it not Vodka? It's not Vodka because Vodka never had this high alcohol content and Vodka is not this rectified, Vodka still retains some flavours of the ingredients but Everclear is almost medical grade pure alcohol.

    If you are in the following states of the USA, it will be illegal for you to drink Everclear.

    States that currently ban the sale of Everclear include California, Florida, Maine, Massachusetts, Hawaii, Iowa, Michigan, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Washington, North Carolina, New Hampshire and Minnesota - The Badger Herald

  • Canadian Whisky

    Canadian Whisky is a blended multi grain liquor in which corn spirits are in a higher percentage over other grain spirits, and the whisky is lighter and smoother than other types of whiskies.

    Canadian corn whisky uses some rye grain added to the mash to give it more flavour and this characteristic style and flavour gave Canadian Whisky the name Canadian Rye Whisky or simply Rye Whisky.

    Canadian standards stipulates a minimum 3 years of aging in wood vessels and 40% ABV, and must be mashed, fermented and distilled in Canada.

  • Sugar

    Brown Sugar is a sucrose sugar with a distinctive brown colour from the presence of molasses, it is a partially refined or unrefined sugar containing sugar crystals and residual molasses giving it a distinctive taste and flavour of crystallised molasses or toffee. The taste of dark brown sugar is described as a caramel taste with a deep molasses flavour.
    Brown sugar is used in cocktails where a caramel candy or toffee flavour is expected.

    Caster Sugar is finely ground granulated sugar. It is not as fine a powdered confectioners' sugar and has a little grit to it. It is somewhere between confectioners' sugar and granulated sugar, and melts in mouth with a mild spicy feel to the tongue

    Vanilla Sugar is the regular granulated sugar infused with vanilla flavour, by using vanilla pods and seeds to flavour the sugar. A home made alternative is to use vanilla sticks or pods in a jar of sugar and leave it sealed for 4 weeks to allow the vanilla flavour to infuse. Or to use granulated sugar and vanilla extract and blend in a mixer, although this ends up in powdered sugar.
