Sagatiba Tropicalia

Darker the drink the worst is the hangover

MORE

Darker drinks like Rum or Red Wine or any other drink that has a colour, contain more residues of the original fruit, grain or corn, and these residues are known as congeners.

Congeners are chemical compounds like tannins, histamine and aldehydes. Congeners impart the unique flavours that these liquors or wines have, which you'll miss in white or colourless liquors like Vodka, but at the cost of heavy hangovers.

Congeners compete with alcohol when metabolism is concerned and might slow down the metabolism of alcohol and result in the alcohol staying in the blood for much longer. In addition, congeners stimulate the body to release stress hormones like norepinephrine and epinephrine which can add to the hangover.

  • Sagatiba Pura Cachaca

Cachaça or Cachaca is a distilled spirit made from fermented sugarcane juice. It is also known as pinga, caninha and several other names. It is the favourite distilled alcohol of Brazil.

Cachaca, is also known as the Brazilian Rum, and it has a long and rich story. Many cachacas, however, are better defied as firewater than palatable Rum. Sagatiba Pura is an ultra premium cachaca first released in 2004 and then released to the U.S. market in 2007.

  • Orange Juice

Orange Juice is an excellent source of Vitamin C, one cup contains twice the daily recommended value. Vitamin C supports the immune system and helps fighting the common cold. The folate in Orange juice supports healthy fetal development. It is low calory and thus is already a qualified alternative to cola fizz in your cocktail if you want to keep your drinks acceptably healthy.

Orange Juice being citrus and naturally sweet and sour, it literally goes with almost any liquor, and of course Vodka being neutral, the best known pairing is with Vodka. But goes well with Dark Rum too, and you get the Planter's Punch, mix it with Champagne and you have made a mimosa, or with tequila to make a tequila sunrise.

  • Papaya Juice

A ripe papaya is sweet and has a taste similar to a melon or to some extent similar to a mango, the flesh melts in the mouth and has a buttery feel and the juice is sweet and smooth. Papaya is loaded with an enzyme called papain, which has a pungent, somewhat offensive smell and unpleasant taste, and thus, to some people, the taste of ripe papaya is not agreeable.

  • Pineapple Juice

Rich in antioxidants, this juice pressed from the pulp of the Pineapple is a good protection against cell degeneration, It contains bromelain, a group of enzymes known to reduce inflammation, improve digestion and boost immunity. In drink mixing, there is nothing like the tropical flavour of pineapple juice to add that tropical freshness and nuance to a cocktail.

In drink mixing pineapple having a fruity tropical aroma pineapple juice is a good companion for tropical fruits such as mango, banana, passion fruit, and also pairs well with oranges and grapefruit juice.

Pineapple juice is the juice pressed out of the pulp of the pineapple fruit, several varieties of pineapple are used to manufacture commercial pineapple juice. High on Vitamin C and enzymes that have been shown to activate healthy immune response, it’s a good juice to start a day. The enzyme bromelain in pineapple juice, triggers analgesic response in the body to fight pain and reduce swelling. In cocktails, Pineapple juice goes best with Vodka and is often a regular juice in many Vodka cocktails.

  • Lime Juice

Lime Juice being rich in Vitamin C is an excellent remedy for sore throat and aids in digestion and controls blood sugar, and also promoted weight loss. It is used for various culinary and non-culinary purposes all over the world. Lime juice is known to reduce or even reverse the effects of excessive alcohol consumption and intoxication.
The difference between Lime Juice and Lemon Juice is that although the sweet and sour Lemon and the bitter and sour Lime are two different fruits, they have similar properties and tastes similar too, the Lime, unlike the sweet and large Lemon, is used raw and is usually plucked green and has more bitterness and sourness in it's taste, and is grown better in tropical and sub-tropical climates.
In drink mixing, fresh lemon juice brings a tangy zing to so many classic drinks and in fact, it's the most used ingredient in drink mixing other than the liquors of course.
