Moose Knuckle

Should I always use fresh citrus juice?

MORE

Freshly squeezed citrus juice tends to offer a brighter and more authentic flavor. However, quality bottled juices can be a convenient alternative if fresh is not available.

Any Glass of your Choice

Moose Knuckle
moose knuckle is a popular Vodka cocktail containing a combinations of Vodka,Orange Juice,Red Bull .Served using Any Glass of your Choice
Sweet and tropical, the Moose Knuckle blends zesty citrus and berry flavors for an invigorating shot. Equal parts orange juice, vodka, and Red Bull create a balanced flavor profile - tangy yet smooth, mildly sweet with a touch of caffeine kick. Shake everything together briskly with ice to fully incorporate the ingredients. Strain into a chilled shot glass. Shoot this straight down or sip slowly to enjoy the interplay of orange and berry. It`s easy to adjust the quantities of juice, vodka, and Red Bull to suit your personal taste. For a sweeter, fruitier shot, amp up the OJ. Or add more Red Bull if you need an extra jolt of energy. Serve these at your next backyard BBQ or pool party!

Moose Knuckle Recipe

Shake equal parts of all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into glass.

Moose Knuckle is the male equivalent of a camel toe, which of course is not the way men wear their pants anymore, but turn back the time a few centuries and youu2019ll find ample men wearing tight pantaloons with big bulges that were even exaggerated by bandages worn over genitals affected by Syphilis.

However, the origin of this name might not be that awkward bulge of the manhood, but the name might have been derived from a Vodka Likorette or Liqueur of European Origin, named Moose Knuckle Hunters Vodka Likorette.

Itu2019s a ginger, lemongrass flavoured sweet Vodka liqueur that has a dark colour derived from Hibiscus flower, and is made for ski parties and is available in small bottles as shooters to keep people warm during those cold winter days, and the Moose Knuckle reference probably comes from the Skiing attire.

The Moose Knuckle cocktail here though has nothing to do with that liqueur although probably Red Bull and Orange Juice mimics that flavour to some extent.

  • Vodka

Vodka is an European clear distilled alcoholic drink that has been one of the most popular drinks across the world .

You'll find it to be the most popular spirit in drink making because of it's neutral taste and absence of flavour and colour.

Vodka often replaces Gin in many traditional cocktails

Vodka is known to be good for the heart, and if consumed in moderation, can prove to be good for cardiovascular health

Note that these days there are flavoured Vodka available in the market too, and some cocktails do make use of them.

  • Orange Juice

Orange Juice is an excellent source of Vitamin C, one cup contains twice the daily recommended value. Vitamin C supports the immune system and helps fighting the common cold. The folate in Orange juice supports healthy fetal development. It is low calory and thus is already a qualified alternative to cola fizz in your cocktail if you want to keep your drinks acceptably healthy.

Orange Juice being citrus and naturally sweet and sour, it literally goes with almost any liquor, and of course Vodka being neutral, the best known pairing is with Vodka. But goes well with Dark Rum too, and you get the Planter's Punch, mix it with Champagne and you have made a mimosa, or with tequila to make a tequila sunrise.

  • Red Bull

Red Bull is an Austrian Energy Drink brand and has the highest market share among energy drinks, with a share of 36% of the global market. Since it’s launch in 1987, more than 82 billion cans have been sold. Red Bull is regularly mixed with Vodka but is best avoided in over indulgence, since Red Bull has a fair amount of caffeine and when alcohol is mixed with caffeine, the caffeine masks the depressant effect of alcohol and make drinkers stay alert through a much longer session of drinking and might increase the consumption of alcohol.
