Lemon Shot Recipe
Mix galliano and absolut citron in a shot glass, lay lemon wedge sprinkled with sugar over glass and pour rum over the wedge and glass. Ignite rum and allow to burn for a moment. Extinguish, shoot quickly, and suck on the lemon. If it is done correctly, this will taste like a shot of sweet lemonade.
Galliano Herbal Liqueur
Galliano is a liqueur made from neutral alcohol steeped with a wide range of herbs and spices ranging from juniper, anise, vanilla, musk yarrow, lavender and many more herbs and has a distinctive vanilla sweetness. Caramel and tartrazine is used to create the bright yellow colour. It's distinctive vanilla top note and sweetness and flavour separates it from other anise flavoured herbal liqueurs like Anisette, Sambuca and Pernod, and you don't need any sweetner syrup while mixing Galliano. Galliano or Liquore Galliano L'Autentico, is the creation of Artur Vaccari of Livorno, Tuscany, who created this liqueur in 1896 and named it after Giuseppe Galliano, a Royal Italian Army Officer. Galliano is bottled at 30% and 42.3% ABV.
Absolut Citron Vodka
Absolut Citron Vodka is one of the main flavour variants of Absolut Vodka. Citron means lemon in Swedish, Absolut Citron is crafted from Swedish Winter wheat and water from a deep well in Ahus, the vodka is flavoured with citrus fruits.
It is a 40% ABV Vodka made from natural ingredients and no sugar is added to the pure Vodka during the flavour infusion, the taste is thus smooth and mellow, with a fresh lemon and lime flavour with a lemon peel note.Bacardi 5Rum
Rum is a liqour that originated in the West indies and is made by fermenting then distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. The distillate is usually a clear liquid and is then aged in oak barrels.
Most Rums are produced in the Caribbeans and American countries, but are now produced in other sugar producing countries like PHilippines and Taiwan.
The first recorded mention of Rum comes from Barbados, in about 1650. They were originally called "kill-devil" or "rumbullion" and later on, simply Rum.
