Ice House Highball Recipe
Build the Vodka and lemonade in a large pint glass filled with ice, and top with a dash of creme de menthe. Garnish with an edible orchid flower.
Lemonade
This sweetened lemon flavoured beverage is an eternal popular throughout the world and there are varieties of homemade lemonades found everywhere. In North Africa and South Asia, cloudy lemonade dominates, be sure if your cocktail requires a clear lemonade or a cloudy one, which is indication of fruit pulp presence in the mix.
Absolut Citron Vodka
Absolut Citron Vodka is one of the main flavour variants of Absolut Vodka. Citron means lemon in Swedish, Absolut Citron is crafted from Swedish Winter wheat and water from a deep well in Ahus, the vodka is flavoured with citrus fruits.
It is a 40% ABV Vodka made from natural ingredients and no sugar is added to the pure Vodka during the flavour infusion, the taste is thus smooth and mellow, with a fresh lemon and lime flavour with a lemon peel note.White Creme De Menthe
Creme de Menthe is the French for mint cream. It is a sweet mint flavoured alcoholic beverage. Made with Corsican mint leaves, steeped in grain alcohol for several weeks and then filtered and sweetened to create the liqueur.
There are two variations of creme de menthe, white and green, green Creme de Menthe is coloured green by adding mint leaves to the mint extract, otherwise both are similar in taste and flavour.
Note: If a bottle of Creme de Menthe is hard to come by, or not in a mood to buy a liqueur, substitute the Creme de Menthe Liqueur with a Creme de Menthe Syrup and Vodka.
