What is the weirdest cocktail of all?
MOREThere are plenty of weird cocktails but Sourtoe wins the title of the weirdest cocktail hands down, and why not! for it features a mummified human toe in a simple shot of Whiskey, usually Yukon Jack.
The custom has a story, and it all started during the prohibitions. In the 1920s, the rum running Linken brothers, Louie and Otto were caught in a blizzard and Louie accidentally wet his right foot and when they reached their cabin, his right foot was frozen solid. To prevent gangrene Otto used his axe to chop off Louie's toes and he kept them in a jar of alcohol.
In 1937, legend has it that Captain Dick Stevenson found this jar and the idea of the Sourtoe Cocktail Club popped in his mind, the membership criteria being “You can drink it fast. You can drink it slow. But your lips must touch that gnarly toe.”

Mix 1 shot of Vodka with 2 shots of advocat and top up with lemonade and watch it froth.
Pernod
Pernod Anise is an anise flavoured liqueur invented in France in 1920, after Absinthe was banned in 1915. Pernod is made from distillates of star anise and fennel blended with distillates of 14 herbs including chamomile, coriander and veronica.
Note that Pernod is positioned somewhere in between Anisette and Pastis, since it has Liquorice but it has less Liquorice influence than Pastis.Advocaat
Advocaat is a traditional Dutch alcoholic beverage made from eggs, sugar and brandy, with a rich custard like consistency, with about 14% to 20% ABV. Advocaat or Advocatenborrel is usually made from a blend of egg yolks, aromatic spirits, honey, brandy, vanilla and cream.
The origin can be traced back to an indigenous Brazilian drink name abacate, made from Avocado, introduced in Europe by the Dutch colonialists in Brazil. Since Avocado didn't grow in Northern Europe the drink doesn't have any Avocado any more but the name remained.Lemonade Top up
This sweetened lemon flavoured beverage is an eternal popular throughout the world and there are varieties of homemade lemonades found everywhere. In North Africa and South Asia, cloudy lemonade dominates, be sure if your cocktail requires a clear lemonade or a cloudy one, which is indication of fruit pulp presence in the mix.
