Berry Cool

Should I use crushed ice or ice cubes for Mojitos?

MORE

Both work, but crushed ice is traditional and helps chill the Mojito quickly while providing a visually appealing texture. If using ice cubes, consider giving them a light crush before adding.

  • Chambord Raspberry Liqueur

Raspberry Liqueur is what a liqueur is, a neutral liquor, wine or gin with added flavours and sweetness from fruits, herbs and other ingredients.

In Raspeberry Liqueur, raspberries are macerated with sugar in vodka, and vanilla pods are often added for a wider flavour profile, alcohol and sugar draw out the fruit's natural juices and essential oils into the spirit.

Few popular raspberry liqueur brands would be

    • 1. Chambord Black Raspberry Liqueur.
    • 2. Bols Black Raspberry Liqueur.
    • 3. Giffard Framboise Liqueur.
    • 4. St George's Raspberry Liqueur.
    • 5. Mathilde Framboise Liqueur.

  • Cointreau Orange Liqueur

Orange Liqueur is the generic name for orange fruit based liqueurs, there are two traditions of orange liqueur, Triple Sec and Curacao, two major brands being Cointreau from the Triple Sec tradition and Grand Marnier from the Curacao tradition.

  • Creme De Mure

Crème de Mure is a Blackberry fruit liqueur from France. It is popular for its natural essence, quality and aroma, and the bitter end note that comes from the seeds added to the liqueur. It is a crème liqueur not a cream liqueur and thus has no cream in it, but has ample sugar to bring that almost syrup consistency to the fruity, deep purple drink that literally captures the olfactory senses and bemuses the mind.

  • Ocean Spray Cranberry Juice

Cranberry Juice is rich in Vitamin C and antioxidants, the compounds that fight free radicals and kills harmful bacteria. Cranberry juice is a home remedy for Urinary Tract Infection.
Pure Cranberry Juice is sour and bitter with very low sugar in it, and thus fortified Cranberry Juice is used for consumption and sugar is added to it for taste. The resulting juice tart and sweet and with a pH of 2.6 it is quite acidic and is an excellent substitute for Red Wine.
