The Sazerac is a cocktail that was invented in New Orleans in the early 19th century. It is made with Cognac or rye whiskey ,absinthe bitters and sugar. The original recipe called for Peychaud\'s bitters which are made in New Orleans.

The Sazerac is the official cocktail of the city of New Orleans and it is also one of the oldest cocktails in the world. It is believed to have been invented sometime between 1838 and 1841 by Antoine Peychaud a Creole apothecary who owned a pharmacy on Royal Street in New Orleans. Peychaud\'s bitters were originally used as a medicinal tonic but they quickly became popular as an ingredient in cocktails.

Aromatic elderflower & fresh honey meld beautifully with rum, orange and champagne for an effervescent spring tipple dubbed Honey Blossom. By integrating St. Germain`s heady blossoms and subtly sweet raw honey simple syrups into bright Valencia orange juice, white rum`s toasty vanilla warmth ties all elements together skillfully for a balanced sweet sipper. Shake juices, rum and honey vigorously over ice then double strain into a chilled flute. Top gently with Champagne to preserve lively bubbles before garnishing with rolled orange peel spiral. Sip chilled to delight all senses with sweet pollen indulgence, imagining snow melting during the annual nectar collections frenzy!

Honey Blossom Recipe


Mix orange juice, honey simple syrup, rum and elderflower liqueur in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain into a highball glass over ice. Top with Champagne and garnish with orange slice.
