MOREThere are plenty of weird cocktails but Sourtoe wins the title of the weirdest cocktail hands down, and why not! for it features a mummified human toe in a simple shot of Whiskey, usually Yukon Jack.
The custom has a story, and it all started during the prohibitions. In the 1920s, the rum running Linken brothers, Louie and Otto were caught in a blizzard and Louie accidentally wet his right foot and when they reached their cabin, his right foot was frozen solid. To prevent gangrene Otto used his axe to chop off Louie's toes and he kept them in a jar of alcohol.
In 1937, legend has it that Captain Dick Stevenson found this jar and the idea of the Sourtoe Cocktail Club popped in his mind, the membership criteria being “You can drink it fast. You can drink it slow. But your lips must touch that gnarly toe.”

Pour hot chocolate into a brandy snifter. Add peppermint schnapps (rumple minze) and godiva, then stir. Top with whipped cream.

Rumple Minze Peppermint Liqueur
Creme de Menthe or Peppermint Liqueur is the French for mint cream. It is a sweet mint flavoured alcoholic beverage. Made with Corsican mint leaves, steeped in grain alcohol for several weeks and then filtered and sweetened to create the liqueur.
There are two variations of creme de menthe, white and green, green Creme de Menthe is coloured green by adding mint leaves to the mint extract, otherwise both are similar in taste and flavour.Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
Creme de Cacao is a chocolate liqueur that has probably been produced and sold in France since as early as 1666. In America a Chocolate wine was popular in the 18th Century, it's ingredients included sherry, port, chocolate and sugar.
A modern recipe for chocolate liqueur at home lists the ingredients as chocolate extract, vanilla extract and simple syrup and in purest form, chocolate liqueur is clear and colours may be added.
Creme de Cacao can be consumed straight and as an apertif, in cocktails and in desserts, in dessert sauces, cakes and truffles.
The most common Chocolate Liqueur is Mozart Black Chocolate Liqueur and Godiva Chocolate Liqueur
