Why do we clink glasses and toast before drinking?
MOREBanging of wooden mugs or metal bowls of liquor is a medieval custom of spilling each others drink into the others mug, to make sure that no one tried to spike the other's drink with poison, sailors did it, guests in a tavern would do it too.
The host of a meal would drink from the bottle for the guests first and then all would clink glasses to ensure the host didn't spike their drink. The level of trust was absolutely measly back in the days, but with time the custom became a cheerful custom of showing trust, honesty and a toast to good health.

Add everything into an old fashioned glass and serve.
Whiskey
Whisky or Whiskey is a distilled alcohol, characterised by the process of distillation of the fermented malted and un-malted grain mash.
Different grains that can be malted are used for different varieties, grains like barley, corn, rye and wheat are the most commonly used . The distilled liquor is aged in wooden casks, often in old aged sherry casks or casks made of charred white oak.
For several reasons, historical, trade and linguistic, Whisky is those that have been produced in Scotland, Canada, Australia or Japan, while Whiskey are those that have been produced in Ireland or America, it's Whiskey

Sloe Gin is not a Gin, it's a British liqueur made with gin and sloes. Sloes are Plum like fruits which are traditionally picked after the first frost of winter in late October, pricked traditionally with a thorn from the blackthorn bush on which sloes grow, then put in a jar with sugar and gin and steeped for at least three months while turning the jar every day initially, then every week until ready.
The liqueur is then decanted carefully to eliminate all sediments and a clear red liqueur is left. Sloe Gin is 15% to 30% ABV. EU established standard requires a minimum of 25% ABV for the liqueur to be recognised as a Sloe Gin.
Sloe Gin is the only non-Gin product that is still legally allowed to be called a Gin, despite the fact that it is a Gin based liqueur and is often even made with neutral grain spirits in place of Gin.Dekuyper Sour Apple Pucker Schnapps
Pucker is a line of fruit flavoured liqueur produced by DeKyuper and are usually 15% ABV (30 proof). Puckers are mostly used in mixed drinks.
Sour Apple Pucker is a sour apple-flavored fruit liqueur produced in the Netherlands by DeKuyper . Being just 15% ABV (30 proof) it's fairly low in spirit and is used in many cocktails.Cola
Cola in general is a carbonated soft drink flavoured with vanilla,cinnamon, nutmeg, citrus oils and other flavourings and has been popular ever since it's invention by Pharmacist John Pemberton in 1886.
Cola gets it's name from the Kola Nut from which a Cola gets it's caffeine, the original recipe of Pemberton contained cocaine from coca leaves too, and was an non-alcoholic wine. Since it's invention the recipe has been closely guarded and yet replicated by many other brands of which, Pepsi Cola remain to be the major competition of Coca Cola invented and trade marked by Pemberton.
Cola being sweet and having a refreshing flavour profile that includes vanilla on top to a citrus taste with complex flavours of nutmeg, cinnamon and other very oriental herbs, it in itself is a great mixer for so many spirits. Best of course is the neutral Vodka but who doesn't want a Rom and Coca Cola? and have not heard the Andrew Sister's Song Rum and Coca Cola
Note: If you are one of those that are clinically dependent on Coca Cola or Cola in general and drink litres of Cola per day, the SodaStream Diet Cola will be a great alternative for you. It has less sugar and uses sucralose instead of aspartame used in Diet Cola. Each bottle makes 9 litres of Cola. Note that you need the Sodastream Sparkling Water Maker for this.
