Liquid Cocaine Top Shelf

How to Make a Classic Martini?

MORE

Step 1: Gather Your Ingredients
Ensure you have these -
2 1/2 oz (75 ml) Gin
1/2 oz (15 ml) Dry Vermouth
Ice Cubes
Lemon Twist or Olive for garnish
Step 2: Chill the Glass
Place your martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water to chill while you prepare the cocktail.

Step 3: Chill the Mixing Glass
Fill a mixing glass with ice to chill it. This ensures your martini stays cold throughout the mixing process.

Step 4: Measure and Pour Gin
Measure 2 1/2 oz (75 ml) of your favorite gin and pour it into the chilled mixing glass.

Step 5: Add Dry Vermouth
Add 1/2 oz (15 ml) of dry vermouth to the gin in the mixing glass. Adjust the vermouth quantity according to your personal taste preferences for a drier or wetter martini.

Step 6: Stir or Shake

Stir the mixture gently with a bar spoon for about 30 seconds. If you prefer a more intense chill and a slightly frothier texture, you can shake the ingredients instead. Be mindful, though, as shaking can dilute the drink more than stirring.

Step 7: Strain into the Glass
Discard the ice from the chilled martini glass. Using a strainer, pour the mixed ingredients from the mixing glass into the now empty martini glass.

Step 8: Garnish
For a classic touch, garnish your martini with a twist of lemon peel or an olive. Express the lemon peel over the glass to release its oils, giving the drink a subtle citrus aroma.

Step 9: Enjoy Responsibly
Sip and savor your perfectly crafted classic martini. Cheers!

The exact ingredients vary, but the drink is typically made by combining equal parts cocaine and vodka, rum, or gin. It can also be made with water instead of alcohol. The drug is also sometimes called "lean," "Purple Drank," or "Texas Tea."

In the straight forward, alcohol only cocktail world, there are many versions of the Liquid Cocaine Cocktail. The name usually refers to a drink that is loaded with an overdose of Caffeine

Urban Dictionary mentions a very potent shot that consists of Bacardi151 ( now discontinued ), Jagermeister, and Goldschlager that is called Liquid Cocaine and another variation that has 1 Part Jaggermister, 1 Part Rumplemintz, 1 Part Goldschalger .

The theme of almost all of the cocktails we have here on our database, that carries the moniker "Liquid Cocaine" is same, all of them are potent combinations of several high ABV liquors and liqueurs.

  • Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey

Tennessee Whiskey is a straight whiskey produced in the US state of Tennessee. Whiskey produced in Tennessee is technically and legally a Bourbon and is recognised as Bourbon internationally, but Tennessee manufacturers prefer to keep their produce separate from Bourbon. To be a legal Bourbon, a whiskey has to meet the following criteria

Produced in the United States and Territories (Puerto Rico) and the District of Columbia
Made from a grain mixture that is at least 51% corn
Aged in new, charred oak containers
Distilled to no more than 160 (U.S.) proof (80% alcohol by volume)
Entered into the container for aging at no more than 125 proof (62.5% alcohol by volume)
Bottled (like other whiskeys) at 80 proof or more (40% alcohol by volume)

Tennessee Whiskey meets all the requirements too, but they prefer keeping it distinct and as per the signed House Bill 1084 of 2013, requiring the Lincoln County process (which involves maple charcoal filtering) to be used for products produced in the state labeled as "Tennessee Whiskey", along with the existing requirements for bourbon. - Wikipedia

  • Yukon Jack Canadian Whisky

Canadian Whisky is a blended multi grain liquor in which corn spirits are in a higher percentage over other grain spirits, and the whisky is lighter and smoother than other types of whiskies.

Canadian corn whisky uses some rye grain added to the mash to give it more flavour and this characteristic style and flavour gave Canadian Whisky the name Canadian Rye Whisky or simply Rye Whisky.

Canadian standards stipulates a minimum 3 years of aging in wood vessels and 40% ABV, and must be mashed, fermented and distilled in Canada.

  • Southern Comfort Peach Liqueur

Southern Comfort is now branded as a Whiskey Liqueur and is associated with bourbon , but originally the brand produced peach liqueurand was one of the few peach liqueurs in the market. Produced using neutral spirit and over 100 ingredients, the final liqueur matured for eight months before bottling.

  • Amaretto Almond Liqueur

Amaretto is a liqueur, a sweet Italian liqueur that originated in Saronno. There are different brands and each have their slight variations and ingredients vary from apricot kernel, bitter almonds, peach stones or almonds, all these are natural sources of the benzaldehyde that brings the almond flavour to the liqueur. Amaretto usually contains a 21% to 48% Alcohol by Volume.

Amaretto liqueur can be drunk straight or used as an ingredient in mixed drinks, or with coffee.

The name Amaretto originated from the Italian word amaro, meaning bitter. Amaretto's bitterness is derived from the drupe kernel and although the bitterness of Amaretto tends to be mild, sweeteners and at time sweet almonds are added to enhance the flavour of the final product.

  • Sloe Gin

Sloe Gin is not a Gin, it's a British liqueur made with gin and sloes. Sloes are Plum like fruits which are traditionally picked after the first frost of winter in late October, pricked traditionally with a thorn from the blackthorn bush on which sloes grow, then put in a jar with sugar and gin and steeped for at least three months while turning the jar every day initially, then every week until ready.

The liqueur is then decanted carefully to eliminate all sediments and a clear red liqueur is left. Sloe Gin is 15% to 30% ABV. EU established standard requires a minimum of 25% ABV for the liqueur to be recognised as a Sloe Gin.

Sloe Gin is the only non-Gin product that is still legally allowed to be called a Gin, despite the fact that it is a Gin based liqueur and is often even made with neutral grain spirits in place of Gin.

  • Grenadine Syrup

Grenadine is a common non-alcoholic pomegranate syrup with a characteristic deep red colour. It is a very popular cocktail ingredient, used for its pomegranate flavour and more for its ability to add a reddish to pink tint to a cocktail.

The name Grenadine originates from the French for pomegranate, which is grenade.

Grenadine is not subjected to regulations like alcoholic beverages are, and there are no region specific formulae any more, and thus manufacturers often replace pomegranate with blackcurrant juice and other fruit juices while retaining the same flavour profile.

Many producers now use artificial ingredients like high fructose corn syrup, water, citric acid, sodium citrate, sodium benzoate and food grade red colour along with natural and artificial flavours.
