Lemongrass Ginger Collins Recipe


In an ice filled mixing glass, add Cytrus, Campari, lemon juice and simple syrup: shake until well blended. Prepare a 14 oz Goblet by filling with ice and placing the lemon wheels inside the glass so they appear to be floating against the sides of the glass. Strain drink into goblet while spritzing with soda water or 7-up.

  • Campari

    Campari is an apertif, obtained from the infusion of herbs and fruits in alcohol and water. It is a bitters and has a distinctive red colour, which originally was a carmine dye, the crimson dye obtained from crushed cochineal insects, however use of Carmine has been discontinued since 2006. Campari was invented in 1860 by Gaspare Campari in Novara, Italy and is now owned by Gruppo Campari. Campari is bottled at 20.5% to 28% ABV depending on the country it is sold in. The flavour of Campari is bitter, spicy and sweet and is an essential ingredient in several classic cocktails like Negroni, the Garibaldi and the Americano.

    Soda refers to carbonated water, sweetened, flavoured or plain, but there is a difference between Soda and plain Carbonated Water or Sparkling Water, which is known as Seltzer Water, while Seltzer Water is plain water carbonated to add fizz, Soda water contains potassium bicarbonate and potassium sulphate in the water, and according to research Seltzer Water is safer for teeth health and sparkling water provides true hydration and is better at it than regular soda or diet soda.
