This was due to several factors including the rise of disco and its associated club culture which favoured hard liquor over mixed drinks; the popularity of wine among young adults; and the increasing availability of cheap mass-produced beer.

Destefano is a popular Beer cocktail containing a combinations of Rum,Heering Cherry Liqueur,Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice,Simple Syrup .Served using highball glass
This refreshing rum cocktail gets added intrigue from a dash of cherry liqueur. The ruby red grapefruit juice provides a tart, citrusy counterpoint to the rich molasses of the rum. A touch of simple syrup smooths and unites the ingredients. The cherry flavor is subtle, mainly coming through as an aromatic note on top. Shake it hard with ice and fine strain for a crisp, chilled drink. Garnish with a grapefruit twist.

  • Rum

    Rum is a liqour that originated in the West indies and is made by fermenting then distilling sugarcane molasses or sugarcane juice. The distillate is usually a clear liquid and is then aged in oak barrels.

    Most Rums are produced in the Caribbeans and American countries, but are now produced in other sugar producing countries like PHilippines and Taiwan.

    The first recorded mention of Rum comes from Barbados, in about 1650. They were originally called "kill-devil" or "rumbullion" and later on, simply Rum.

  • Heering Cherry Liqueur

    Cherry Liqueur is a sweetened liqueur made from different spirit bases of which Brandy is the most common base for macerating and infusing cherry and making the liqueur, and that is why cherry liqueur is often called Cherry Brandy.

    Note that there's Kirsch or Kirschwasser, an unsweetened eau de vie distilled from cherries, and it is often called cherry brandy too. But you can't use Kirsch and Cherry Liqueur interchangeably since the liqueur is sweet and the other is not.

    One of the most known Cherry Liqueur is Maraschino Cherry Liqueur, made from Marasca cherries.

  • Fresh Ruby Red Grapefruit Juice

    Grapefruit juice is loaded with vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients, which help in cleansing lymphatic system, nervous system, digestive and excretory system. Consuming grapefruit juice will help you combat fatigue and insomnia. Thus when you add grapefruit juice to your cocktails, it not only enhances the taste of your cocktail, it will hide the smell of the ethanol. and at same time will enhance the nutrient value of your cocktail.
