Maui Blue Hawaiian Schnapps
To understand Maui Blue Hawaiian Schnapps one needs to understand two legendary cocktails, firstly, the Blue Hawaii cocktail created by legendary bartender Harry Yee of the Hilton Hawaiian Village, a tropical cocktail made of Rum, Pineapple juice, Blue Curacao, Sweet and Sour mix and optionally, Vodka and secondly, Blue Hawaiian, a riff of Blue Hawaii, probably created by Don the Beachcomber in LA, USA. The differnce between Blue Hawaii and Blue Hawaiian is that the later uses cream of coconut in place of sweet and sour mix. ( source Difford's Guide )
The Maui Blue Hawaiian Schnapps is a tropical fruit liquor. It's bright and blue, a fun tropical drink. and is made with coconut and pineapple flavors with a hint of orange which is a great mixer for a tropical cocktail, and is similar in style to the Blue Hawaii and Blue Hawaiian cocktails.
