Alcohol Thermometers are not uncommon even today, in fact the first thermometer designed were alcohol thermometers. Alcohol Thermometers operate in a different temperature range than Mercury thermometers, while Mercury has a higher boiling point and can be useful in measuring high temperatures, Alcohol thermometers are used to measure temperatures below -70 C.

However that is not the point, the point is that early thermometers from the 1600s used Brandy instead of pure alcohol, unlike modern alcohol thermometers, and were eventually replaced by mercury.

Yellow Daisy is a popular Tequila cocktail containing a combinations of White Tequila,Carbonated Water/Club Soda,Grenadine,Lemon Juice .Served using Old Fashioned glass
This easy Tequila cocktail balances sweet and tart citrus flavors. White tequila provides a smooth agave base while lemon juice adds bright acidity. Grenadine lends subtle berry sweetness along with a cheerful pink blush when swirled into the cocktail. A splash of club soda lifts and lightens the medley. Shaken with ice for proper dilution and chill, it`s fresh yet nicely balanced - ideal for lazy weekend enjoyment.

Daisy Recipe


Combine all ingredients except carbonated water in a cocktail shaker with ice. Stir and strain into an old-fashioned glass. Add splash of carbonated water.

    Maniis an ERP and SaaS developer and architect by day and a cocktail enthusiast in her leisure. She holds a Masters in Computer Application and Programming.
